Service Description
Step into the living tradition of Vedic chanting — a practice that has been passed down for thousands of years through a remarkable oral lineage. This 4-part series offers an accessible yet profound introduction for those new to Vedic chant and Sanskrit sounds. Guided by the rhythmic precision and melodic patterns unique to the Veda, you will learn not only how to chant but also why it is done this way. Each session will center around one revered deity — Gaṇeśa, Lakṣmī, Durgā, and Śiva — exploring their mantras, symbolic qualities, and the energies they represent. Alongside the chanting, you will gain a cultural and philosophical understanding of the Vedas, the art of Sanskrit pronunciation, and the role of mantra in daily life and in the broader yoga tradition. This course will connect sound, meaning, and devotion — offering both a meditative experience and a grounding in ancient Indian wisdom. This series is open to complete beginners — we’ll explore the sounds of Sanskrit and the energies of the deities in an accessible, playful way. More seasoned practitioners are also welcome, as we’ll chant both simple mantras and experiment with slightly more intricate ones for the joy of learning.
